Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for preparing assigned food products to include breakfast items, meat entrees, vegetables, casseroles; different diet consistencies including pureed and ground, thickening liquids and for cleaning and sanitizing the production area and dining area. Items created in this area can significantly affect the nutritional quality and acceptance level of patient diets and cost containment. Position maintains weekly inventory of food and kitchen items.

Normal Work Hours:

7:00am-6:00pm (4×10 days) Position # 60049904 NC01 “This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events”.

Read and write in English and be able to follow recipes and instructions. Knowledge with modifying food and thicken liquids as necessary. Knowledge of food preparation time, temperature, and methods of preserving. Must have and maintain a current valid driver’s license Education and/or experience in food preparation that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade equivalent to one year of experience in a commercial and/or institutional setting.
