Line Cook Metro 7 diner 1090 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham, NY 12110 Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, particularly in meal preparation and food handling. This position is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality dishes to our guests. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage. Adhere to food safety regulations and practices to ensure the health and safety of all guests. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and dicing using various knives. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties at the end of shifts. Experience Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards and culinary techniques is essential. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary skills are highly valued.
