Job Summary:

As a Crew Member at Grub House, you’ll play a key role in daily operations-handling everything from cooking and prepping to customer service and cleaning. You’ll need to work well under pressure, multitask, and keep a positive attitude in a busy kitchen and front-of-house environment.

Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
  • Prepare menu items following recipes and portion guidelines
  • Cook and fry food items using commercial kitchen equipment
  • Maintain food quality and presentation standards
Customer Service & Front Counter:
  • Greet customers with a friendly attitude
  • Take orders accurately in-person or over the phone
  • Operate POS system and handle cash/card transactions
  • Package orders for dine-in and takeout
Cleaning & Sanitation:
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and dining area
  • Wash dishes and kitchen utensils
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
Stocking & Inventory:
  • Receive and organize food deliveries
  • Restock ingredients, packaging, and other supplies as needed
  • Help maintain inventory logs and report shortages to management
Teamwork & Efficiency:
  • Assist other team members during busy hours
  • Follow directions from supervisors and restaurant management
  • Maintain a respectful and cooperative work environment
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred, particularly in catering or restaurant settings.
  • NYC Food Handler’s License preferred
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
