Sodexo Live! is currently hiring a Line Cook for the ORDA Lake Placid Conference Center in Lake Placid, NY.

$20-$23 (depending on experience)
Hours:
4am – 12pm (subject to change) The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) was originally created by the State of New York to manage the facilities used during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games at Lake Placid. Today, ORDA operates multiple venues including the Olympic Center, Olympic Jumping Complex, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, Whiteface Mountain, Gore Mountain and Belleayre Mountain. Responsibilities:
Prepares hot and cold foods in quantities as specified on the production tally, utilizing standardized recipes Handles and stores food according to established food handling standards and procedures Assists in preparation of foods as required for menu implementation Assists on tray line during resident meal service, following guidelines as needed Assists with cleaning and sanitation of production equipment and food preparation/production areas Refrigerates and stores leftovers according to established procedures Monitors resident tray line/dining room service for breakfast, dinner and/or supper service as scheduled Times preparation of food items to meet established breakfast, dinner and/or supper service schedule Confers with Production Manager and members of production team regarding production procedures, problems and issues Obtains food(s) from storeroom(s) based on menu needs Monitors production utilization to minimize waste and leftovers Monitors and records temperatures of hot foods prior to service to ensure required temperature Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor Attends mandatory and departmental education as scheduled Assists with production of am or pm meals based on schedule needs
