⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Line cook (Downtown) Houseman compensation: $25 per hour employment type: job title: Line cook Who you are: You are a serious cook with good organizational skills and sharp knives. You thrive on making delicious food for appreciative diners. You like to be part of a small team. You have at least 1.5 years of experience in a serious kitchen.

We are looking for an ambitious cook who wants to learn all the stations and grow into a management role. What’s the starting pay: $25 per hour.

Houseman is a 10 year-old restaurant with a creative seasonal menu. Our customers are a mix of regulars and destination diners. The team in the kitchen is small. We worked together before and through the pandemic. We value diversity, good communication, mutual respect, and inclusion.
Our food:
Our name-Houseman-refers to a Scandanavian word that translates to seasonal local food. Houseman’s menu investigates what that is in New York City today.
