DutiesResponsibilities Display a working knowledge of all ingredientspreparation used on the menu Consistently ensure that station mise en place is prepped, seasonedstocked throughout servicethe overall station remains clean and organized Effectively participates in a professionally run service period, ensuring excellence in cooking, timing, plate assembly and communication Promote teamworkexcellence amongst the kitchen team Demonstrate an eagerness to refine techniques and a desire to continually learngrow Assist Chef in Completion of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Service Preps stationreplenishes with all of its components having a par stock Organizeconsolidate prep, making notice of needsnotifying supervisor Assist in putting away of all orders properly Utilizing prep and food, for service, specials, buffetsfamily meal Cleaning of station, kitchen, and all of its associated parts as directed by Chef Sanitation of stationkitchen to be held to serve safe standards Works various buffet stations as needed for specials events including: Grills, Sautee, breakfastcarving stations Has a positive work ethicprofessional approach with coworkerscustomers Have a basic knowledge of common ingredientsretain new knowledge of ingredients used in our cuisinemost specifically in mise en place items assigned to the prep list Checks in deliveriesensures they are properly stored Lead by example, setting a tone of teamwork, collaborationmutual respect Works with Executive Chef, Sous Chefcooks to establishmaintain efficiencyconsistency Supports the team in whatever capacity is necessary to ensure smooth serviceoperations Effectively prepares all required dishes in a timely manner for specific service period Consistently ensure that station mise en place is excellently prepped, seasoned,prepared to the standards taught by restaurant’s culinary leaders by the beginning of service Maintains a soundinquisitive working knowledge of common seasonal ingredientsretains new knowledge of ingredients used in our cuisine Participates in a professionally run service period, restocking stations as neededperforming last minute or special-order prep needs with a calm sense of urgency Communicates effectivelyhospitably with all teams throughout the daythroughout service Maintains an orderlyneat work area displaying calm professionalism to promote food qualityreduce waste Follows all recipes, portioning, proper storageFIFO to minimize waste Ensure DOL/Health Department compliance as it pertains to the operation Is punctual for shiftshas proper uniform including apron, chef’s jacket, pants,hat This job description in no way states or implies that this position is limited to the aforementioned duties.
