Hiring Rate:

$18.00 – $20.00/hr Hilton Pearl River, a full-service luxury hotel located 25 minutes from New York City in Rockland County (NY) and bordering Bergen County (NJ), is seeking an organized, energetic, hands-on professional to join our exceptional team as Line Cook. Our cooks plan, prep, set-up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials for outlets in accordance with standards and plating guide specs. Responsible for maintaining food production and quality control of all meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks, seasoning, and all other food items prepared in the different kitchen stations. Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Prepares all food items according to standard recipes and/or as specified on guest check to ensure consistency of product to the guest. Visually inspects, selects, and uses only food items ideal cooking, in preparation of all menu items Checks and controls the proper storage of products, monitoring the age and condition of all food items to rotate and maintain the highest quality. Keeps all refrigeration equipment, storage, and working areas clean and clutter-free, complying with Health department regulations Prepares daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production Review Banquet Event Orders, and discuss the functions with the Catering staff to ensure the events meet/exceed customer expectations Must be able to work weekends, holidays and evenings Performs any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor Keep floors dry and clean to avoid slip/fall accidents Performs other duties as requested, such as moving supplies and equipment, cleaning up unexpected spills Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Experience:
