Duties Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications. Assist in meal preparation for various dining services, including catering events. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe cooking environment. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods. Participate in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Support the dietary aide team with special dietary needs as required. Skills Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role within the culinary field. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. Familiarity with dietary requirements and meal preparation for various diets. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
