Summary We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team at Pickering Manor. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your contributions will play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience for our senior community. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary requirements. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations. Plan menus that accommodate residents’ preferences and nutritional needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Assist in inventory management by tracking food supplies and placing orders as needed. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service. Requirements Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent culinary skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.
