• Duties
• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist in menu planning, including seasonal offerings and special dietary needs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food prep areas
• Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed
• Assist in catering events, preparing large quantities of food as required
• Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements.
• Requirements
• Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen
• Familiarity with menu planning and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting while maintaining a positive attitude
