Cook St. Charles Cafe Clearfield, PA 16830 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious meals that meet dietary needs while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences. Assist in menu planning and inventory management, ensuring all ingredients are available for meal preparation. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, and other cooking tools. Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure it meets the highest standards. Skills Proven experience in the food service industry, preferably in a restaurant or similar setting. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Proficiency in food preparation techniques with the ability to use kitchen equipment effectively. Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in meal presentation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual responsibilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
