• Job Summary
• We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team in a bustling restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, ensuring high-quality dishes are served promptly.
• Responsibilities
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
• Assist in cooking and preparing menu items according to recipes
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Monitor stock levels and communicate with the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef when ingredients are running low
• Requirements
• Proven experience as a Line Cook/Prep Cook in a restaurant or similar environment
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiarity with industry best practices
• Culinary school diploma is a plus but not required
