Line Cook/Prep Cook State Cafe` and Grill 14 S 5th St # 16, Easton, PA 18042 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment while adhering to food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and a passion for creating delicious meals. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Support the catering team by preparing large quantities of food for events. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food safety practices and cooking techniques. Requirements Previous experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Experience in menu planning is a plus, especially within a dietary department setting.
