Job Description:

A Line Cook is in charge of preparing food and setting up other necessary supplies. They make sure everything has been set up correctly before starting work. They use specialized kitchen tools to prepare essential ingredients and create a finished product for restaurants.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Requirements and skills

POSITION REQUIRES WEEKEND

WORK–

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices We ask you to:

Hours:

Ø This position is for Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And 2 days during the week TBD. This position can be part time at 3 days a week, or 5 days a week. Ø A minimum of 2 days per weekend. Please note, the chosen candidate will be required to successfully complete a background check as a condition of employment.
