Kitchen Manager Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented and experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with our recipes and standards. You’ll work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies. Ensure food is prepared in a timely and consistent manner. Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications. Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with inventory and notify supervisors of low stock levels. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Qualifications:
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Prep Cook, or similar role. Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Familiarity with industry best practices. High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school training is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hot, and noisy environment.
