The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality grilled dishes while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of grilled foods, ensuring quality and presentation meet restaurant standards. Operate grill equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols. Monitor food temperatures and cooking times to ensure proper food safety practices are adhered to. Maintain cleanliness of the grill area and kitchen equipment, including regular cleaning and sanitizing tasks. Assist in menu planning and recipe development as needed, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help train new kitchen staff on grilling techniques and food safety standards. Skills Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or catering environment, with a focus on grilling techniques. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Proficient knife skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
