SUMMARY:
- ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex off Spruill Avenue). We are looking for
- a Food Service Cook.

Description:
- + Must be able to work quickly in a professional kitchen to include mixing for food service items + Must be proficient in commercial kitchen equipment accurately checking thermometer readings + Perform food preparation + Collaborate with the Executive/Sous Chef and Cooks to prepare meals + Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items + Responsible for food prep areas/kitchen cafeteria cleanup after each shift + Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion + Inspect food preparation, serving areas and ensure safe sanitary food-handling practices + Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods + Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards + Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures + Clean up station, then label and store leftover food + Read and follow standardized recipes and directions + Rotate food inventory as required by established procedures + Other duties as assigned •
Requirements:
- + High School Diploma/GED preferred + Must be a US Citizen + Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English + Must be able to pass a background investigation and physical exam + Must be able to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends + Must be able to pass a background check and physical + Ability to work independently without supervision + Must be able to pass a background check and physical + Ability to work in both cold and hot environments.
