Lore Brewing Company is a small, family owned brewery and taproom located in Indian Land SC. We opened our taproom in October of 2019, and expanded our kitchen in September of 2021 to include a full food menu that we are continuously working to improve and update. At Lore we have a small tight knit team and plan to keep that environment the same. Our kitchen is run in much the same manner as our front of house operations. Job Description Our team is looking for an energetic creative teammate who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty in the kitchen. We are currently looking for someone with open availability (NIGHT
AND WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED
) averaging 15-25 hours a week. Our kitchen closes at 9pm Monday-Saturday, and 7pm on Sundays with kitchen staff usually out an hour after close (no late nights). This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, but also enjoys being creative with new ideas. We are always looking for feedback on our processes and menu, and we love to get our employees involved with that brainstorming. Job Summary Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies. Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces and other items. Cooks food items using a TurboChef oven and other cooking techniques. Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift. Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs. Job Requirements Must be able to lift 50 lbs Must be able to stand for an entire shift (shift time ranges from 6 hours to 8 hours if needed)
MUST HAVE A RELIABLE FORM OF TRANSPORTATION TO COMMUTE TO WORK TO ARRIVE ON TIME.
Experience in kitchen required. Basic food handling knowledge – Food Handler Certification required (can be completed after hire). Must be able to work independently.
NIGHT AND WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED, INCLUDING HOLIDAYS
(closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas). Food Handler or Certified Food Manager certification required (can be obtained post-hire). ‘
