SUMMARY:
A Line Cook coordinates with the Kitchen Supervisor andKitchen Manager by performing food preparation tasks. Preparationtasks will include cutting meat, mixing sauces and choppingvegetables.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list ofduties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may beexpanded to include other duties and responsibilities as managementmay deem necessary from time to time. Adheres to Wilderness at theSmokies standards for guest service Prepares, arranges andcontinually updates food according to Wilderness at the Smokiesrecipes, preparations and food presentations. Adhere to all HealthDepartment Policies and Procedures Stores and handles food properlyReports and documents any observed or known safety hazards,conditions, or unsafe practices & procedures to managementimmediately Cleans and maintains kitchen as directed by managementin conjunction with Health Department policies & procedures Set upand stock stations with all necessary supplies Clean up stationsand sanitize accordingly Prepare food in high quality and in atimely manner All other duties as assigned by management EDUCATIONand/or
EXPERIENCE
(Level 2) Less than high school education; or upto one month related experience or training; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
(Level 1)Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable wordsand to recognize similarities and differences between words andbetween series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simplesentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
(Level 1) Ability to add andsubtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of Americanmoney and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONINGABILITY
(Level 1) Ability to apply common sense understanding tocarry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to dealwith standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
