Experienced Mobile Boat Detailer (Independent Contractor) Join Moran’s Performance Detailing
- Serving Jacksonville & Surrounding Areas Are you a skilled detailer with experience in gelcoat compounding and polishing?
Do you take pride in your work, thrive in the heat, and enjoy the freedom of setting your own schedule? Moran’s Performance Detailing is looking for a reliable, detail-obsessed contractor to join our growing team. We’re actively expanding the marine side of our business and need an experienced boat detailer to help us grow. While we build up the boat side, you’ll also be detailing cars and RVs to stay consistently busy.
What We Offer:
Pay Per Job
- Contractors average $25 per hour , based on job type and efficiency Tips are common and often add another $5
- 10/hour Flexible Schedule
- As a contractor we expect a reasonable amount of availability, but you are free to take off any days that you want No Commute to the Shop

Requirements:
Truck Ownership
- Must have a clean, reliable, and presentable pickup truck (customer-facing) Experience with Gelcoat Polishing & Compounding
- This is not an entry-level role General detailing knowledge for boats, RVs, and cars Comfortable working outdoors in extreme Florida heat and sun Self-motivated and dependable
- You’ll often be working solo Extreme attention to detail
- We don’t wash vehicles, we detail them.
Our clients expect high-end results Must carry your own liability insurance (about $40/month for most contractors)
