OVERVIEW :
: Inspect, repair, clean, and sanitize live haul trailers/cages in accordance with DOT and company guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
:: Clean and sanitize live haul trailers and cages. Perform all necessary paperwork associated with the assigned job (i.e. work orders, charge parts, etc.). Inspect and repair cages, adhering to DOT and animal welfare guidelines and regulations. Drive various heavy-duty equipment safely. General housekeeping duties, maintaining neat, clean, and orderly work area. All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
:: Relative maintenance experience (e.g., cutting, grinding, welding, etc.). Basic math functions and skills. Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character. Ability to operate yard equipment (e.g., forklift, yard truck, tractor, etc.) Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours. Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Frequent exposure to an outdoor environment. Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling. Work around raw, live animal odors.
