Vehicle Detailer Position Available In Spartanburg, South Carolina

We are currently seeking a Vehicle Detailer for a client in the automotive industry, specializing in vehicle manufactruring. This is a Contractor role based in Spartanburg, SC that requires onsite presence. PURPOSE:

Cleans and prepares cars for delivery to the end customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Retrieves cars from the new car parking lot and moves to the car wash in the detail area of the service shop. Washes the entire external surface of cars by hand and moves them to the detail area. Washes windows inside and out. Dries the exterior of the car and applies cleaning solution to the wheels and tires. Vacuums interior of car and wipes down all surfaces. Inspects vehicles and transports to the staging bay. When delivery bay is vacant, the car transfers to the delivery bay. Inspects the vehicle to ensure pristine appearance for the customer. Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard. Work and Problem Solving. Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles. Performs other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or

GED REQUIRED SKILLS

Basic knowledge of cars and car parts, as well as tools and equipment. Basic knowledge of proper vehicle cleaning practices. Must be able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. A valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Report in good standing

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
