The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations, contributing to a smooth workflow in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking. Organize and store clean dishes and kitchen equipment in their designated areas. Support the culinary team by bussing tables and ensuring that dining areas are clean and presentable. Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly. Experience Previous experience in a kitchen environment or food service is preferred but not required. Familiarity with catering operations or culinary practices is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a busy kitchen setting. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and sanitation standards is beneficial.
