Job Description
Utility/Dishwasher Bobby V’s Restaurant and Sports Bar STM 268 Atlantic Street, Stamford, CT 06901 A utility/dishwasher’s responsibilities include collecting used dishes, plates and utensils, loading washing machines and stacking washed items appropriately with the occasional prep work. Utility/Dishwasher Responsibilities:
Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas. Load and unload dishwashing machines. Wash specific items by hand (e.g. non-stick pans, wooden cutting boards, large pots, knives, items that do not fit in dishwasher). Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately. Set up dish workstation. Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours. Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and notify management when necessary items are needed. Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues. Remove garbage regularly. Cleaning & Sanitize the kitchen area, including but not limited to equipment & the floor. Help chefs & cooks with light prep including but not limited to portioning food items and light chopping. Available to clean spills in the restaurant area if needed. Work experience as a Dishwasher or in a kitchen environment. Prior prep work is helpful but will train. Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines helpful. Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed. Time management skills. Attention to detail and sanitation rules. Ability to work as a team in a high paced environment. Availability to work various shifts, including during weekends and evenings.
