Full Job Description Primary Purpose:

Assist with all aspects of the dining room operation in accordance with company standards. Assist with meeting or exceeding residents’ dining expectations. Ensure proper cleaning, storage, and availability of all dining services cookware, dishware, etc. Keep dining areas and/or dish room areas clean and sanitary. May be assigned to take a “lead” role in the dining room or dish room overseeing the other shift dining associates. May be to assist in training new dining associates and/or provide in-service training. Other relevant duties may be required or assigned by management.

Qualifications:

High School education or GED. • Experience in working with older adults. Kitchen/dining room-related experience preferred.

General:

Must complete facility dining orientation and training. Must present a neat, clean appearance and demonstrate a positive, cheerful attitude.

This position requires incumbent to have: Possess a sensitivity and aptitude for working with the elderly. Follows safe work practices. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Possess the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and documentation, including medical terminology, in English. • Be punctual with a good attendance record. Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
