ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains kitchen in Kashrut manner by assuring separation of meat and dairy foods and equipment. Washes and sanitizes dishes, glassware, plastic ware, and cutlery in the prescribed manner, either manually, via the three-compartment sink method, or mechanically, via the dish machine. Washes and sanitizes pots, pans, and utensils using the three-compartment sink method. Washes and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators, sinks, and kitchen equipment. Maintains food and supply storage areas in a safe and sanitary manner. Segregates and removes trash, places in designated containers. Cleans and sanitizes trash cans. Transports trash from dining rooms and deposits in dumpster. Assists in maintaining dumpster area in a sanitary manner. Assists in storing food and supply deliveries using first in, first out principles. Sets up banquet tables for special events. Sweeps, mops, and sanitizes kitchen floors. Reports equipment and supply needs to the Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

(EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

) High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
