A strong work ethic and a positive attitude are essential. Although the role can be challenging at first, it becomes easier as you develop your skills, and you’ll be largely self-directed as long as dishes are returned clean and on time. If you’re interested in a culinary career, this position is an excellent first step, with plenty of opportunities for advancement. We’ve been in business for 23 years at Snapper’s and 13 years at 1200 Chophouse, and during the 2020 lockdown we did not lay off a single team member. Overtime is available for those who put in the effort.
