The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient preparation of meals, adhering to food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This position requires a passion for food and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Follow recipes and guidelines for meal preparation while ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices. Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces as needed. Experience Previous experience in a culinary or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential; certification in food handling is a plus.
