Responsibilities of the
Utility/Dish Staff:
Follow the schedule of side duties for the utility position. Properly clean and sanitize soiled dishes. Ensure Serve Safe procedures are in place, especially hand washing, glove usage, labeling, and rotation. Maintain clean and sanitized kitchen and equipment. Remove all trash from facility and properly place in outside dumpster. Complete assigned closing duties. Review and utilize the Community’s disaster preparedness plan for staff and residents to follow in case of fire, explosion, natural disaster, or other emergency, including interruption of electrical power supply, gas-heating supply and water supply. Assist in putting up food orders. Help the wait staff as needed. Attend regular staff meetings and safety meetings. Function as a team and assist co-workers as the need arises. Refrain from gossip with the residents and/or staff. Other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
