POSITION SUMMARY
The Porter plays a critical role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and flow in a high-end kitchen environment. This team member is responsible not only for dish sanitation but also for supporting daily kitchen cleanliness, inventory awareness, and smooth back-of-house operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Dish and Utensil Sanitation
Wash, scrub, and sanitize all dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, and utensils throughout service.
Ensure all cleaned items are stacked, organized, and stored properly in designated areas.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and presentation, particularly for items used in guest-facing service.
Daily and Weekly Cleaning Duties
Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming as needed.
Wipe down and maintain all kitchen and dish area trash cans; perform deep cleaning of trash cans weekly.
Remove any trash left from prior shifts to ensure a clean and sanitary start each day.
Ensure daily cleaning checklists are completed, initialed, and submitted as required.
Stocking and Restocking
Ensure all soap and paper towel dispensers are filled at the beginning of each shift.
Monitor inventory of dish and cleaning chemicals and report any shortages to the FOH or BOH manager.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area and chemical storage.
Operational Support
Assist with shuttling and properly disposing of broken-down cardboard boxes during product deliveries.
Support culinary staff by cleaning and organizing cookware, service pots, and equipment promptly during and after service.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Full-time position (evenings, weekends and holidays as required).
Based in Atlanta with an Office/Club environment.
Ability to lift wine cases and bottles up to 40 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
