Job Overview:

The Stewart is a versatile role responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in a fast-paced catering and events environment. This position combines the responsibilities of a Dishwasher, Busser, Stewart, and Utility Worker. The Stewart plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, supporting the kitchen staff, and contributing to overall customer satisfaction. General Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain dishwashing machine, ensuring proper sanitation by regularly testing with test strips. Sort, stack, and rinse dishes, glasses, utensils, and other kitchenware. Load and unload the dishwasher, ensuring efficiency and proper handling of fragile items. Hand wash and scrub larger pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment as needed. Remove trash and recycling from kitchen areas, ensuring proper disposal. Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment. Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes from dining areas. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to maintain an organized and efficient flow of dishes and utensils. Ensure the availability of clean dishes, utensils, and equipment at all times. Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including storage and supply management. Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures, including handling and storing chemicals. Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required. Provide support to other areas of the venue, including sweeping and mopping floors. Display a positive and professional attitude while interacting with team members and customers. Perform other Duties and responsibilities as assigned.
