Dietary Aide/Dishwasher Position Available In Berkshire, Massachusetts

The Dietary Aide provides assistance in all dietary functions asdirected/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policiesand procedures. At Hillcrest Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, wehave been caring for area families since 1995, providing top-qualityskilled nursing care for short-term rehabilitation, long-term care andspecialized memory care. • Essential Job Functions
• Work with the facility’s dietitian as necessary and implementrecommended changes as required.
• Assist in serving meals as necessaryand on a timely basis.
• Serve food in accordance with establishedportion control procedures.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaningduties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Cleanwork tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Sweep and mopfloors as directed.
• Carry soiled utensils, etc., to wash area.
• Return clean utensils to proper storage areas.
• Wash and clean utensilsas directed.
• Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry and freeof hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.
• Set up meal trays, food carts,dining room, etc., as instructed.
• Assist cook in preparing meals.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Obtain food supplies fornext meal.
• Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.
• Performdishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assure that utensils, etc., are readilyavailable for next meal.
• Remove food trays from carts, dining rooms,etc., and take to dishwashing area.
• Prepare and deliver snacks, etc.,as instructed.
• Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed inaccordance with established policies.
• Follow established InfectionControl and Universal Precautions policies and procedures whenperforming daily tasks.
• Ensure department is clean and safe byassuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained.
• Reportall hazardous conditions/equipment and accidents to supervisorimmediately.
• Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean andproperly arranged manner at all times.
• Ensure that food and suppliesfor the next meal are readily available.
• Dispose of food and waste inaccordance with established policies.
• Report missing/illegible labelsor MSDSs to supervisor.
• Assist in food preparation for special mealsfor parties, etc.
