The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to the overall efficiency of our restaurant operations, supporting our cooks and catering staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all equipment is in good working order. Assist with bussing tables and helping with food preparation as needed. Support kitchen staff by keeping the kitchen organized and stocked with clean dishes and utensils. Follow food handling safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in cleaning tasks during off-peak hours to maintain overall kitchen hygiene. Assist with catering events by ensuring all necessary items are cleaned and ready for service. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Willingness to assist in various kitchen tasks including food preparation and bussing tables as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 40 pounds).
