We are a rehab/ long term care facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our food service environment, contributing to the overall success of our culinary team. Serving the dining room as needed as well. Responsibilities Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently to ensure all dishes, glassware, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing pots, pans, and cooking equipment as needed. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the culinary team, including basic food handling and bussing duties. Ensure that all kitchen supplies are stocked and organized for optimal workflow. Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices. Support the kitchen staff during peak hours by assisting with additional tasks as needed. Requirements Previous experience in a culinary or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
