The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are cleaned and sanitized promptly. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed. Assist in food preparation by cleaning vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients as directed by kitchen staff. Properly store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas to ensure easy access for kitchen staff. Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes during peak service times. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Support the kitchen team with additional tasks as needed during busy periods or special events such as banquets or catering services. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required. Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques and sanitation standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
