Part-Time Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our production kitchen team. This role is critical in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will uphold high standards of hygiene, follow established dish washing protocols, and help ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen tools, and equipment using proper methods and cleaning supplies. Follow all standard dish washing protocols, including proper use of the dish machine and 3- compartment sink procedures. Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines as outlined by local health departments and internal policies. Routinely check and complete tasks on the deep cleaning list; escalate any issues to the Kitchen Lead as necessary. Ensure all cleaned items are dried and returned to their designated storage locations to support smooth kitchen operations. Maintain a clean and organized dish area, including taking out trash, cleaning floors, and wiping down surfaces regularly. Follow all instructions and directives from the Culinary Manager or Kitchen Lead, and support other team members as needed. Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a commercial or production kitchen is a plus, but not required. Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification a plus). Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player.
