The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed. Assist in food preparation tasks as required, including basic food handling and support to cooks. Ensure that all items are properly stored after cleaning to maintain an organized kitchen environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely cleaning of dishes during peak service hours. Help with bussing tables and maintaining the cleanliness of dining areas when necessary. Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food service and sanitation practices. Skills Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Basic knowledge of food handling practices is a plus. Willingness to assist with various tasks within the kitchen, including culinary support when needed. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
