Dishwashers are primarily responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware, either manually or using dishwashing machines. This maintains hygiene and sanitation standards.

Kitchen Cleanliness:

They also maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area and kitchen by sweeping, mopping, wiping down counters, and removing trash. Organizing and storing clean items is also part of the role.

Equipment Upkeep:

Ensuring the dishwashing machine is working properly and reporting issues is important. This can include checking temperatures and chemical levels.

Supporting Staff:

Dishwashers may assist with basic food prep and support other kitchen staff as needed.

Supply Monitoring:

Keeping track of cleaning supplies and notifying a supervisor when they are low is also a duty.
