Position Summary:
The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods.
Major Responsibilities:
Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine. Sort and stack clean dishes, glassware, tableware, and other cooking utensils in the proper storage area. Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand. Must be comfortable utilizing the 3-sink washing method Assemble, clean, and disassemble dish machine. Remove trash and garbage to dumpster. Setup, clean, and/or break down dishwashing area. General cleaning of food service area as directed.
Essential Requirements:
Must have at least 6 months of dishwashing experience. Must be open to AM and PM shifts and have a flexible schedule Mon-Sun Correctly sanitize dishes and cooking utensils Requires standing/walking/bending throughout shift. Must be able to lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware, and other utensils at any given time (40+ lbs). Possess high standard of cleanliness and knowledge of workplace safety procedures including the safe handling/use of chemicals. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Great customer service skills. Provides professional image at all times through appearance, demeanor, and dress.
