The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are cleaned promptly and thoroughly, allowing our culinary team to focus on food preparation and service. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain a clean and organized dish area, including proper disposal of waste and recycling. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Support the kitchen staff by bussing tables and helping with general kitchen duties during peak hours. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation. Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow in the kitchen. Skills Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is beneficial. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen setting. Basic cooking skills or familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus. Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food service.
