Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Let’s dive into the details:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Dishwashing Operations:
Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas. Load and unload washing machines (which are often commercial-grade) efficiently. Hand-wash specific items like wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate china. Prioritize loads of different types of crockery and kitchenware.
Additional Tasks:
Assist with prep work as needed. Take out garbage and trash to the dumpster area. Clean work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors. Assemble, maintain, and break down the dish machine. Occasionally wash larger pans and pots by hand if the dishwasher can’t accommodate them.
Teamwork and Adaptability:
Work well as part of a team to provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment. Be flexible and willing to perform minor food preparation tasks alongside dishwashing duties. Maintain cleanliness and organization—attention to detail is crucial.
