Dishwasher State Street Saloon 43 Pleasant Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is vital to our food service operations, supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Efficiently wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas by regularly cleaning floors, countertops, and equipment. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and helping cooks with basic food handling. Ensure that all kitchen supplies are stocked and organized for easy access by staff. Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices. Support catering events by preparing necessary items and ensuring timely cleanup after events. Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow in the kitchen during peak service times. Requirements Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of basic kitchen operations, including food handling and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 pounds).
