The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential in supporting our culinary staff and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. Duties Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure that all kitchen equipment is organized and stored properly. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by helping with banquet setups and ensuring timely availability of clean dishes. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Qualifications Previous experience in a culinary or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
