Dishwasher/Cleaning Beach BBQ Baldwin, NY 11510 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our food service establishment, contributing to our commitment to providing exceptional hospitality. Duties Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of trash. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and preparing ingredients for cooking. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order; report any maintenance issues to the kitchen manager. Support the culinary team during peak hours by assisting with various tasks to ensure timely service. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with health regulations. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety standards is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed within the culinary team. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by operational needs.
