Dishwasher Off the rails Bar and Grille 45 Howland Ave, Mechanicville, NY 12118 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our dishwashing area, ensuring that all kitchenware is sanitized and ready for use. This position is essential to the overall efficiency of our food service operations, supporting our commitment to high-quality dining experiences. Responsibilities Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including proper disposal of waste and recycling materials. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and preparation duties. Support kitchen staff by bussing tables and ensuring that all necessary items are readily available for service. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation practices. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak hours. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen management team promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with catering, banquet services, or restaurant operations is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the hospitality industry. Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols related to food handling and sanitation. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required by the role.
