Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are sanitized and ready for use. This position is essential to the smooth operation of our food service establishment, contributing to an overall positive dining experience for our guests. Duties Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by kitchen staff or chefs. Properly store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas to ensure easy access for kitchen staff. Remove trash and recycling from the kitchen area regularly to maintain a clean working environment. Support bussing staff by assisting with clearing tables and resetting dining areas when necessary. Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or culinary environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of proper food handling techniques is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
