Dishwasher/Food Prep The Franklin House Tavern 101 North Market Street, Schaefferstown, PA 17088 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Preparation Worker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking and serving. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our food service operations, whether in a hotel, restaurant, or banquet setting. Duties Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and guidelines. Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces and equipment are sanitized. Support cooks and chefs by preparing ingredients such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring out portions. Follow food handling safety protocols to ensure the quality and safety of all food products. Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting any shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods, especially during banquet events. Skills Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation. Familiarity with food service practices and standards, including proper food handling procedures. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in a collaborative setting. Previous experience in a culinary or food service role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
