The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations, particularly in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning methods. Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash as needed. Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including bussing tables and supporting cooks during peak hours. Ensure that all food handling guidelines are followed to maintain hygiene and safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the kitchen manager promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the hospitality industry. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic culinary setting.
