Dishwasher/Prep Cook Sorghum and Salt 186 Saint Philip Street, Charleston, SC 29403 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our food preparation and kitchen cleanliness standards are met, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized regularly. Support banquet and catering events by assisting in food setup and service. Buss tables as needed to maintain a clean dining area for guests. Follow all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak service times. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices.
