Event Venue Steward/Dishwasher Good Food Catering Charleston, SC 29403

Job Summary:

As an Event Venue Dishwasher and Steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in a busy event venue. You will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized efficiently, allowing for smooth event operations. Your attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness will contribute to a positive guest experience. Job duties include but are not limited to:

Dishwashing and Sanitization:
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using industrial dishwashing equipment.
  • Ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and free of residue.
  • Follow established sanitation and safety procedures to maintain a hygienic environment.
Kitchen Support:
  • Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation, and storage areas.
  • Collect, remove, and dispose of kitchen waste, such as food scraps and trash.
  • Restock kitchen supplies and maintain an inventory of cleaning materials.
Facility Maintenance:
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of public areas, including restrooms, lobbies, and seating areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dumpster area
  • Ensure that all exits, stairwells, and walkways are clear and accessible.
  • Report any facility maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a similar role is an asset but not mandatory. Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules. As an Event Venue Dishwasher and Steward, you will be an essential part of the event venue team, contributing to the overall success of events by ensuring a clean and organized environment. Your role is crucial in providing a positive experience for event attendees and supporting the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality service.
